A must read if you read Traction

If you haven't read traction, read that first, followed by Get a Grip and lastly, Rocket Fuel. In Get A Grip, Gino brilliantly demonstrates the power of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) at work. Demonstrating all 6 business components (Vision, People, Data, Issues, Process & Traction) and the powerful tools that make them real, Gino explores several potential dynamics you may encounter on your own journey and provides a practical understanding of how to transform your business and your people from stuck to unstuck. Each tool is introduced to a fairly dysfunctional and chaotic organization that appears healthy to most from the outside in. You can sense the tension followed by the relief and ultimately growth of the company as they apply each tool to the business. Before you attempt to apply the EOS system to your business or department, read this book so you can gain a few nuggets of insight of what you might encounter and how you might plow through the process. It's worth your time to do so.

Absolutely awesome read for anyone in business, especially appropriate for those among us who have been in business for a long time and have struggled to scale a business! I believe I've read it several times and am working to implement the concepts to grow our brands to a higher level of Customer Service in order to continue to differentiate our offerings - both through SECCO Home Services, Pronto Plumbing & Drain & our Commercial Electrical Construction & Service, and finally for our SECCO HVACR Service Business.
This book is a great way to get the leadership team on the same page and forging forward with energy!

Learned of this book indirectly from a friend and decided to read it to see what he thought was so special. Gotta say, Mr. Wickman has a solid grip himself on what it takes to facilitate the leadership of a company. His overall framework is excellent, and the tools he has developed are just what a business needs to use in order to run as smoothly as a well-oiled machine. Even though there is some redundancy throughout the book, it works well because it transports the reader into the room with the participants he is writing about. I've already given copies of this to two other people - but I kept my own for future reference.

Dr. Rohinton Emmanuel is a University teacher and researcher from Sri Lanka, with a Ph.D in urban climatology from the University of Michigan and has also taught in the US and Sweden. His core interests in studying the environmental changes brought about by urbanization in the warm, humid tropics. For nearly 13 years he has extensively researched climate changes in cities with the long-term goal of developing urban environmental monitoring indices that facilitate environment-sensitive urban design in the tropics. He has an extensive record of research and publications on building climatology and urban climate changes.

I read this book "cover to cover" in one sitting. Rarely, if ever, does that happen. I am so needy, and the Lord ministered to me on every page. I got this book because I heard someone say that it was the best Christian book ever written. Maybe, but if not the best, it must surely be close.

The goal of this book is to help programmers become more effective at design and build Angularjs UI applications.

The first two chapters are focused on setting up the environment and on introducing the angularjs companion suite.
In the subsequent chapters, the readers are guided through some advanced topics such as: calendar and google-maps (ch. 3), data-grid (ch.4), animations (Ch. 5), Chart & graphics (ch. 6).
The final part of the book explains how to integrate Angularjs and Twitter Bootstrap (utilizing AngularUI Bootstrap project) and how to build a mobile SPA (single page application) with some suggestions on the optimization of the user experience.
Each topic is explained in detail and accompanied by examples and activities.
The book focuses more on the integration of angularjs with tirth party tools and less on the basics of the framework.
This approach can be either good or bad depending on the goal that you have in mind. In my opinion it can be a bit difficult and confusing for the novice but useful for anyone with more experience who has a specific problem to solve.

Cindy L. Stanfield earned a B.S. degree and a Ph.D. in physiology at the University of California at Davis. Her exposure to neurophysiology research as an undergraduate sparked her interest in pursuing a Ph.D. As a graduate student, Stanfield studied the role of neuropeptides in pain modulation and taught several physiology laboratory courses, which led to her interest in teaching. She currently teaches human physiology and neuroscience lecture courses and a lecture/discussion course in issues in biomedical sciences at the University of South Alabama. Cindy recently retired her research responsibilities to take on advising prehealth students����

Cindy received the College of Allied Health Professions Excellence in Service Award in 2003, and the University of South Alabama Alumni Association Excellence in Teaching Award in 2004. She is an active member of several professional organizations including the Society for Neuroscience, the International Association for the Study of Pain, the American Pain Society, and the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions. This is the same as the hardcover book- you just have to add a binder because it's unbound. For the difference in price it is a really good deal and I like that it still came with the disk. So many a la carte books don't so be careful when purchasing if your class requires a disk/online lab.
