Good, Easy Book

This book contains several great songs from this adorable Pixar movie. The music is simple and easy intermediate. (I've been playing piano for ten years.) I would have preferred that the music was more detailed (I find the versions a little boring), as they could have been more fun to listen to and play. However, the piano version is true to the soundtrack. As I said before though, it could have been much more detailed to provide fuller sounding songs.

"Touch the Sky" is a good piece, but the codas are obnoxious! When you're playing along, you don't really want to stop and turn back three pages and then a few notes later, skip ahead again.

BORIS F.J. COLLARDI is Chief Executive Officer of Julius Baer Group Ltd., the leading pure-play private banking group, based in Switzerland. He oversees all operational issues on both a national and international scale. Before joining Julius Baer in 2006, Collardi spent twelve years with Credit Suisse and contributed significantly to its successful build-up and the expansion of its private banking business in both Europe and Asia. During his years with Credit Suisse, he attained the positions of chief financial officer and head of the corporate centre within CS Private Banking. Collardi combines extensive leadership experience with proven expertise in the successful implementation of ambitious strategic projects. About the Author
Vijay Gupta is currently Director, G D Goenka World Institute, Sohna, India. A graduate of IIT Delhi in Mechanical Engineering in 1968, he completed his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1972. He joined IIT, Kanpur as a faculty member in 1973 and was there till recently. While at IIT, Kanpur, he went on a short sabbatical as a Visiting Professor at the University of Minnesota, and on deputations to head the school of Engineering and IT at South Asia International University, Hyderabad, and to head Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh as its Director/Vice-Chancellor. He was then Vice-Chancellor of Lovely Professional University at Jalandhar, India.He has authored 12 books published by international publishers. Santosh K Gupta is Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India. A graduate of the same institute, he obtained his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA, in 1972. His research interests include modelling, optimization and on-line optimal control of polymerization reactors, and modelling and multi-objective optimization (using genetic algorithm) of chemical engineering systems. He has published over 200 papers in these areas, and has also authored/co-authored the textbooks, Fundamentals of Polymer Science and Engineering, Momentum Transfer Operations, Fluid Mechanics and its Applications, Reaction Engineering of Step-Growth Polymerizations, and Mathematical Methods in Chemical and Environmental Engineering. He has been Visiting Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Notre Dame, IN, USA (1985-87), National University of Singapore (1998-99), University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA (1999-2000), and IIT Bombay, Mumbai (2008-2010), where he was the L & T Chair Professor of Chemical Engineering. He has received several awards and honours.

About the Author
David A. Aaker is the Vice-Chairman of Prophet, Professor Emeritus of Marketing Strategy at the Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley, Advisor to Dentsu, Inc., and a recognized authority on brands and brand management. The winner of the Paul D. Converse Award for outstanding contributions to the development of the science of marketing and the Vijay Mahajan Award for Career Contributions to Marketing Strategy, he has published more than ninety articles and eleven books, including "Strategic Market Management, Managing Brand Equity, Building Strong Brands, " and "Brand Leadership" (co-authored with Eric Joachimsthaler).

V. Kumar is a Regents Professor, Richard and Susan Lenny Distinguished Chair and Professor in Marketing, and the Executive Director of the Center for Excellence in Brand and Customer Management, and the Director of the PhD Program in Marketing at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University. He is also the first person outside of China to be named Chang Jiang Scholar, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, and Lee Kong Chian Fellow, Singapore Management University, Singapore.

Maynard Award, Davidson Award, the Sheth Foundation/Journal of Marketing for the Best Paper Award for contributing a Longterm Impact in marketing, the Robert Buzzell Award from the Marketing Science Institute, and the Gary L. Lilien ISMS-MSI Practice Prize Award. He has published over 200 articles in many scholarly journals in marketing including the Harvard Business Review, Sloan Management Review, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science, and Management Science, and Operations Research. His books include Managing Customers for Profit, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Customer Lifetime Value, Marketing Research, Statistical Methods in CRM, and International Marketing Research. He has won several awards for his research publications in scholarly journals. He has also had the privilege and the honor of being named as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Marketing, the number-one-ranked academic journal in the field of marketing.Dr Kumar teaches a variety of courses including Database Marketing, e-Marketing, Customer Relationship Management, New Product Management, Marketing Models, International Marketing Strategy, International Marketing Research, and Multivariate Methods in Business. Requires Vast Knowledge of Statistics

I tested out of statistics, so I figured I was ok to take a class in Marketing Research. I might have been with another text book. This book assumes you have more experience in statistics than I saw on the test or in any of the elementary statistics books I studied - I was really quite lost during the sections using statistics. Otherwise, the book was ok. I liked the (generally) short chapter length, even if it meant I had to read more chapters each week than for other classes.

About the Author
Mourad Fakhfakh was born in Sfax, Tunisia in 1969. He received the Engineering, the PhD, and the Habilitation degrees from the National Engineering School of Sfax, Tunisia, in 1996, 2006, and 2011, respectively. From 1998 to 2004, he worked at the Tunisian National Company of Electricity and Gas (STEG) as the head of the technical intervention department. In September 2004, he joined the National School of Electronics and Telecommunications (ENETCom), formerly the High Institute of Electronics and Communications (ISECS), where he is working as an Associate Professor. Dr. Fakhfakh is an IEEE senior member. He has (co)authored 2 books and more than 100 papers in high-impact journals, international conferences, and book chapters. He regularly serves as a reviewer in high impact-factor international journals and conferences. Dr. Fakhfakhs research interests include symbolic analysis techniques, analog circuit synthesis and design automation, and optimization techniques.

Esteban Tlelo-Cuautle received a BSc degree from the Instituto Tecnol�gico de Puebla, M�xico, in 1993. He then received both MSc and PhD degrees from the Instituto Nacional de Astrof�sica, �ptica y Electr�nica (INAOE), M�xico, in 1995 and 2000, respectively. In 2001, he was appointed as Professor-Researcher at INAOE. During 2009-2010, he served as a Visiting Researcher at University of California at Riverside, USA. He has authored and co-authored 10 books, 20 book chapters, 75 journal articles, and more than 150 conference papers. He is IEEE Senior Member and serves as Associate Editor in IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II, Integration The VLSI Journal, and The Scientific World Journal. His research interests include systematic circuit synthesis techniques, modeling and simulation of linear and nonlinear circuits and systems, design and applications of chaotic oscillators, symbolic circuit analysis, multi-objective optimization by evolutionary algorithms, and analog/RF and mixed-signal design automation tools.

Maria Helena Fino received the PhD degree in Electrotechnical Engineering from the New University of Lisbon, Portugal, in 1995. She is an Assistant Professor at the Electrotechnical Department of the Faculty of Science and Technology (FCT). Since 2012, she is the coordinator for the Integrated Master on Electrotechnical and Computer Science Engineering in FCT. She co-authored seven book chapters and several journal/conference papers. She was invited for a Plenary Session on IEEE-Mixdes 2013. She has been a reviewer forIEEE Transactions on CAD and for Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing from Springer. Her current research interests include the development/use of compact models for passive and active components and the use of Verilog-A for the implementation of compact models and optimisation-based methodologies for the design of RF/Analog circuits in nanometric technologies.

Excellent Content, Excellent Examples, Moderate Organization

I took this undergraduate course with prof Fabien and found his book to be a great companion to the course.

Pros:
-Lots of detailed, thought out examples
-Excellent topics and structure
-Excellent as both a learning text and a reference for undergraduate studies

Cons:
- Tighter display of derivations needed
- 'Academese' in many sections
- Somewhat wordy and cluttered presentation; hard to identify key points

Good book, would recommend to anyone interested in the topic.

the best book on analytical dynamics

I was searching for analytical dynamics textbook in engineering.
Most of the analytical dynamics books are either physics textbook or Dover Publication.
The problem of physics textbooks is that 70% of content are review of intro dynamics.

Then I finally found this textbook.
The unique feature of this textbook is that it uses uses "generalized" form of Lagrange equation,
which can handle dampers or velocity potentials.
(many textbooks avoid or minimize these topics)
Then, the equation is applied to not only mechanical, but also electrical or fluidic systems.

This textbook is by far the BEST textbook on Lagrangian dynamics.
It has very clear explanation with lots of examples.
It is excellent for self-study.

The only shortcoming is that it doesn't cover Hamiltonian mechanics.
Everything is in Lagrangian dynamics.

Great book for a physically minded person! I use it for a senior level mechanical engineering class. The book is small, light, and doesn't waste paper explaining stuff that you learned in 15 other classes before. Not for beginners!

The Twilight Zone

This short story would make a good episode of The Twilight Zone. The twist at the end caught me; I didn't see it coming. That said, it could use some content editing and proofreading. The information comes to the main character a bit too easily. And with that said, it's still a good short story; it just requires a bit more suspension of disbelief than Mr Joseph's other stories. Enjoyed the read.

A spooky story of an urban/military legend.

"He felt he explored the realm of the unknown; an area that man on earth is not permitted to know exists."

Author, David Joseph's writing is great in this spooky and tragic story of the spooky tanker plane, Spook 50. There really is a Spook 50 in the Air Force and it really is rumored to be haunted and dangerous. The story touches on other strange facts like infamous Federal Prisons: Sing Sing, Leavenworth and Alcatraz. This story has great characters and the suspense rapidly grows to a dramatic conclusion. The writing reminds me of some of Stephen King's short stories and I would love to see this made into TV movie. Also, anyone ever involved with or interested the air force would enjoy reading this Horror story or just anyone who likes good short Horror stories.

Tail # 58-0050!

A KC-135 refueling aircraft has been the home for Sergeant Major Bill Fox for his career. Being the boom operator he has flown over 8000 hours on this type of aircraft. The problem is that Tail #58 - 0050 is haunted and Bill's superior officers don't believe him.

I enjoyed the location of this story - close to home for me. Plattsburg AFB is in a beautiful location (now the base is inactive) and Champ is the legend around the lake. And, of course, some humor mixed in with this one. I had to laugh when someone "tripped on the pilot's golf bag"!

And, it made me miss my years in the US Navy Aviation field.

Excellent short story and most highly recommended.
